This program will feature our regular PANW report with dispatches on the poisoning of the water in the Michigan city of Flint in the United States and the declaration of a state of emergency by right-wing Gov. Rick Snyder aimed up covering up the role of the state and private interests in this social calamity; there are problems within the ruling party in Tunisia just months after its ascendancy to public office inside the North Africa state which was the birthplace of the North African uprising some five years ago; a series of attacks in Egypt have highlighted the precarious security situation and its impact on the national economy; and counter-revolutionary elements in Venezuela who now control the parliament are threatening to launch an effort to oust socialist President Nicolas Maduro from office.
In the second hour we continue our monthlong commemoration of the 87th birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by assessing his contribution to the struggle against racism and against war in the US and internationally.
Finally we examine the role of the British army in Kenya during 1952-1956 where hundreds of thousands were detained and thousands killed during the so-called state of emergency imposed by London aimed at halting the rebellion launched by the Kenya Land and Freedom Army, popularly known as the Mau Mau.
