Watch this RT satellite television interview with Abayomi Azikiwe, editor of the Pan-African News Wire, on the potential for a ground intervention by the European Union in the North African state of Libya some five years after the Pentagon-NATO destruction of the country in 2011.

The new so-called Government of National Accord (GNA) negotiated by United Nations envoy Martin Kobler was designed to facilitate an Italian-led 6,000 person military force encompassing many leading NATO members including Washington.

Although this new regime is gaining some support among the factions based in Tripoli, there is still the problems associated with the eastern-based previously "internationally-recognized" regime.

Other political forces remain outside the GNA deal and will oppose any deployment of imperialist troops inside of Libya.
