Tanzania President John Magufuli and President Uhuru officially open Southern by-pass
President Uhuru Kenyatta will Tuesday host his excellency the President of Tanzania John Pombe Magufuli during the official opening of the newly constructed Southern Bypass in Nairobi.
Magufuli who is on the final stretch of his two day official tour will later visit a dairy farm and a flower farm in Karen area of Nairobi, before leaving for Dar Es Salaam in the evening.
During his visit, President Magufuli held bilateral talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta where they reaffirmed the two countries’ commitment to boost trade in East Africa.
The two heads of state also agreed on a timeline to start the construction of two link roads, Bagamoyo in Tanzania to Malindi and another through Isebania to Tanzania, meant to improve the movement of goods and people between Kenya and Tanzania.
This is Magufuli’s first state visit in the country since being elected as President of Tanzania.
