Luanda, Oct 27 (Prensa Latina) President João Lourenço accepted today the resignation of the governor of the National Bank of Angola (NBA) Walter Filipe and in his place, he named the economist José de Lima Massano, who already exercised that function.

The departure of Filipe (lawyer) was one of the most mentioned measures in social networks since Lourenço was sworn in on September 26, and it came to take place last 16 when the president questioned the work of the NBA director and mentioned the need to place an economist in the leading position.

Massano was already governor of the central bank from 2010 to 2015.

Likewise, the head of state chose Mário Edison Gourgel Gavião as chairman of the Board of Directors of the Capital Markets Commission and Edna Nogueira Fernandes da Silva Kambinda as executive director of the Capital Markets Commission.

He also appointed the staff members of the Development Bank of Angola.
