Chinese FM Received in DPRK
Kim Jong Un, Supreme leader of the Party, government and army of the DPRK, met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Pyongyang on May 3.

Wang Yi who is also a state councillor was accompanied by his deputy Kong Xuanyou and Chinese ambassador to the DPRK Li Jinjun.

Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea and Chairman of the DPRK State Affairs Commission, exchanged warm greetings with Wang Yi, so pleased to see him again over a month after his visit to China.

At the meeting, Wang Yi courteously conveyed the warm greetings Chinese President Xi Jinping, who is also general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, sent to the Supreme Leader.

The Supreme Leader expressed appreciation in return and asked Wang Yi to give his heartfelt regards and the best wishes of the Party, government and people of the DPRK to Xi Jinping and the fraternal Chinese people.

They shared broad and in-depth views on inheriting and boosting the DPRK-China unity and the traditional ties of friendship and cooperation in an all-round way and on other matters of mutual concern such as the development and prospect of the Korean peninsula situation.

The talk proceeded in a comradely and amicable atmosphere.

Talking with Wang Yi, Kim Jong Un expressed great satisfaction over the fact that they reconfirmed the two countries’ stands on important issues and exchanged views on them.

He gave an affectionate hug to Wang Yi and said good-bye to him.
