Birthday Party for Delegates to Celebrations of KCU Founding Anniversary Held
Delegates to the celebrations of the 72nd founding anniversary of the Korean Children's Union (KCU) received birthday spreads under the care of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

More than 30 children, including the delegates from Kim Ju Hyok Senior Middle School in Mangyongdae District and Hwadae Junior Middle School in Hwadae County, received birthday spreads.

A meeting for congratulating the delegates who greet their birthdays took place at the April 25 Hotel on June 6.

Pak Chol Min, first secretary of the central committee of the youth league, said in his speech that the birthday spreads are associated with Kim Jong Un's love for the coming generation and future, who is trying to make the members of the KCU have brighter smile and happiness.

He called upon the delegates to register proud successes in their study, organizational life, social and political activities and do-good-deeds movement, and thus add lustre to the honour of the members of the KCU who are always preparing themselves for their socialist country under the leadership of Kim Jong Un.


Joint National Meeting of KCU Organizations Held

A joint national meeting of the Korean Children's Union (KCU) organizations was held in celebration of the 72nd anniversary of its founding at the plaza of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on June 6.

It was attended by delegates to the celebrations of the 72nd founding anniversary of the KCU and schoolchildren in Pyongyang.

Invited were Choe Hwi, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Jon Kwang Ho, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission, officials concerned and officials of the youth league.

All the participants paid tribute to the portraits of beaming President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Pak Chol Min, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League, made a report.

He said that the history covered by the KCU, a massive political organization of the Korean children, was the one of love and trust by the great leaders and Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un who called the children the kings of the country and regarded the work for the coming generation as the most important affair of the Party and the state.

He called upon all the KCU members to firmly prepare themselves to be able revolutionaries who are knowledgeable, morally sound and physically strong, and reliable reserves for building a powerful socialist country.

He also stressed the need for them to cherish deep in mind the pride and honour of being the members of Kim Il Sung's and Kim Jong Il's children's union, Kim Jong Un's children's organization, and dynamically advance flying high the flag of the KCU under the guidance of Kim Jong Un.

Then, speeches were made.


KCU Members Greet Founding Anniversary

The members of the Korean Children's Union across the country significantly celebrated the 72nd founding anniversary of the union.

They laid floral baskets and bouquets before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and portraits of their beaming images in different parts of the country and paid tribute to them.

Schoolchildren joined the KCU at the joint meetings of their organizations held in each province.

Art performances were given by schoolchildren in various parts of the country including the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace, Hyesan Square, Kaesong Schoolchildren's Palace and Songdowon Youth Open-Air Theatre.

Dancing parties and sports and amusement games of schoolchildren took place at schools, junior middle schools and other primary schools throughout the country, including Pyongyang Primary School for Orphans, Sinuiju Primary School for Orphans and Kangso Primary School in Kanggye City.

Schoolchildren spent pleasant times at the Kaeson Youth Park, Munsu Water Park, Central Zoo and other recreation grounds for the people.
