Visit to Kumsusan Palace of the Sun
Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea, Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army, visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on the occasion of the greatest national memorial day.
He was accompanied by vice-chairmen, directors and leading officials of departments of the WPK Central Committee, and other cadres of the WPK Central Committee.
He entered the hall where stand the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.
Placed at the statues were a floral basket in the name of the Supreme Leader and a floral basket in the joint name of the WPK Central Committee, the WPK Central Military Commission and the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK.
The Supreme Leader paid homage to the statues.
Then he entered the hall where Chairman Kim Jong Il lies in state.
He paid the highest tribute to Kim Jong Il who devoted his all to the prosperity of the country and the happiness of the people until the last moments of his revolutionary career.
Looking back with deep emotion upon the sacred life of Kim Jong Il who performed precious revolutionary feats for the country and the people, the Supreme Leader said that our Party has adhered to the idea and line of Kim Jong Il and his revolutionary principle and resolutely struggled to carry out his last instructions for the last seven years as it made a pledge before the bier of Kim Jong Il this day seven years ago, and called on the entire Party to fulfil the obligation and duties as his revolutionary soldiers in the future, too, and make vigorous efforts to implement his plan and desire to the last without an inch of deflection and any concession.
