‘Kano PDP Gubernatorial Candidate’s Campaign Office Set Ablaze’

Hoodlums in Kano have set ablaze a campaign office belonging to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf.

The office was located at No. 36 Chiranchi quarters in Gwale local government area of Kano state.

A statement signed by the gubernatorial candidate, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa indicated that the office was attacked by over Sixty (60) thugs allegedly led by Juinaidu Abdulhamid, a Personal Assistance to the state APC chairman Abdullahi Abbas and Habibu Dandayis, a die heard supporter of the party chairman.

The statement indicated that during the attack, the thugs also vandalized a Volkswagen Golf – III model with registration number NSR 237 AE.

The gubernatorial candidate called on the Police and other security agencies to as a matter of urgency investigate the matter with a view to bringing the culprits to justice.

When contacted, Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Haruna Abdullahi Kiyawa said police has not received any report in that regard.

He, however, promised to communicate to our reporter as soon as he gets details of the incident.
