Successes in Research of Agricultural Science
The Academy of Agricultural Science has made successes in the research to resolve scientific and technological problems arising in increasing agricultural production of the country.

The natural organic nutrient fertilizer developed by the academy contains humic acid that promotes the growth of plants and such microelements as urea, phosphorus, potassium and molybdenum. It helps increase the production of crops more than 10% by improving the nutritive conditions of crops building up their resistance to high-temperature, drought and flood.

The portable soil analyser is able to analyse microelements in soil, including pH, electric conductivity, humus, mobile nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. It helps analyse the nutritive conditions of soil and improve its fertility appropriately. It was used to analyse the soil of farmland throughout the country last year. It was introduced into almost all cooperative farms in the country, proving its effect.

Researchers developed and introduced vaccine for cattle’s foot and mouth disease, whose effectiveness has been verified in a test, thus reducing the case rate of cattle and ensuring high-level livestock farming.

They also made it possible to boost 1-2 tons of more crops per hectare by developing and introducing rice reinforcing agent, and made notable achievements in breeding functional rice and vegetables.

The general nutrient for rice seed beds and the technique of cultivating tall rice seedlings developed by the academy have been awarded the February 16 Sci-Tech Prize, the top prize in the country.
