Message of the YCLSA on the occasion of the Celebrations of the 94th Anniversary of the SACP, Motherwell, Port Elizabeth
2 August 2015

"Everything for the revolution"

We greet you on this special revolutionary day the 94thAnniversary of the only vanguard of the South African working class, the South African Communist Party. To us this is among the very special Anniversaries that the Party ever had. What comes to our mind is that the Anniversary after the unbanning was a special one and the Anniversary after 1994 democratic Breakthrough was a special one. Also to us as Young Reds the94th Anniversary of the SACP is very special as both UncleMoses Kotane and JB Marks remains are in their country of birth.

This 94th Anniversary coincides with a huge smear campaign against the SACP, its leadership and its youth-wing. This campaign is well orchestrated, directed and covered by media. This initiated open attack is against anyone who speaks out against fallacy and hypocrisy, who simply examine events with objectivity. Its agency is visible, some are part of our organizations, some were part but expelled because of their conduct and some were and some are in senior government positions.

As Ufasimba, as we say everything for the revolution, we understand perfectly well that to preserve the revolution and to struggle for socialism is a task that requires years of struggle and sacrifice that is ahead of us.

On this 94th Anniversary of the SACP, we want to re-iterate what we said on the 85th Anniversary about what kind of the Party.

We said because the SACP is our future home as young people where we will continue with the struggle for socialism, we are very jealousy about it.

As is the case, we also have an interest on what kind of a Party should we build, and not in a patronizing way but constructive way.

We are clear that there should be a distinction between business and communism.

The struggle for socialism cannot be built by people who have business interests.

People who will clearly derail us from our ultimate objective because they have their future secured through tenders and so forth.

We further cannot have dishonest, unreliable, crooks, thugs, uncaring and uncommitted people responsible for such an ideal goal.

We want to emphasize the fact that for us as the youth there is no future except socialism.

We are expecting not a Party of Kotane per se, but a Party that symbolizes what Kotane stood for and still adjust to the current realities.

More so, a Party of communists having no contrary interests and goals to those of the workers and the poor.

We also having this 94th Anniversary when we fresh from the special national congress where on the discussion document, Going to the root, emphasized on placing South Africa`s democratic transition on to a second radical phase, discussing major trends post-1994 that diverged from this ANC-led alliance`s overarching programme, the national democratic revolution. Our focus now is to set in place the second, more radical phase of our democratic transition to achieve complete political liberation, social and economic emancipating for our people, the majority of whom is the working class and the poor

NEW DEAL FOR WORKING CLASS YOUTH

Having convened our 4th National Congress and resolved on a new deal for working youth in our country. We would like to highlight few areas that entail our programme on it:

Intensifying campaigns for better education to skill youths, and co-operatives to fundamentally change the economy.

Initiating much more urgent moves to redress poverty, inequality and unemployment, which all disproportionately affected South African youths?

Focus on the need not only for greater participation in popular governance structures, but also key concerns of stubbornly high levels of unemployment of young people, and an education system which does not seem to produce the right skills to ensure young people can secure jobs.

Arguing for a democratic culture of service and social solidarity to counter "crass materialism and individualism", where weargues that without extensive youth mobilization democracy would remain "shallow" in the prevailing mass poverty, unemployment and inequality. "We cannot take it for granted that ANC dominance of politics necessarily means the values young people are brought under are democratic and progressive.

As part of our action plan we have proposals also on how to look at health, particularly keeping an eye on primary health programmes and the extension of school health services in partnership with the National Education, Health and Allied Workers` Union (Nehawu).

Emphasis on prevention, health promotion and rehabilitation, and the need for a comprehensive sexual and reproductive health rights programme, including family planning, access to safe abortions and the distribution of male and female condoms, and grassroots campaigns against substance abuse.

THE PARTY IS A TEACHER

The Party is a teacher not only of the workers and the poor; it is also a teacher of counter revolutionaries, agents of imperialists and the imperialists. Those who think that they can crush us in the field of information or in the public domain; they must also know that the Party also knows how to fight and win battles in that field. However as the best teachers of workers and the poor , we will have to be very carefully and avoid fighting with the pig on the mud , as our analogy comes to conclude that the pigs are not dangerous as one would think, they are venerable , even a piglet can defeat them.

As we celebrate our 94th Anniversary, our main battle is to educate the people, so that the people can see between the right and wrong and between the Party and enemy of the revolution.

The Party is the teacher and the friend of the South African people and also teacher of the world. The Party through its superiority of its philosophy Marxism-Leninism has made an extremely outstanding and extensive contribution to the National Democratic Revolution and the struggle for socialism.

We must continue to teach our people and all revolutionaries in our country and in the world that they must not be confused by these attacks to the Party and its leadership. In the class struggle the forces of reaction, the enemies of the revolution will always attack us and our revolution. This has been confirmed by one of the leaders of the Chinese Revolution Cde Mao Zedong. "To be attacked by the enemy is not a bad thing "I hold that it is bad as far as we are concerned if a person, a political party, an army or a school is not attacked by the enemy, for in that case it would definitely mean that we have sunk to the level of the enemy. It is good if we are attacked by the enemy, since it proves that we have drawn a clear line of demarcation between the enemy and ourselves. It is better if the enemy attacks us wildly and paint us as utterly black and without a single virtue, it demonstrate that we have not only drawn a clear line of demarcation between the enemy and ourselves but achieved a great deal in our work"

As we celebrate 94th Anniversary our message to those who attack the Party and those who convene the picnics to attack, to spread lies and slander right and left the Party and its leadership with the aim to weaken it, they are mistaken. The Party is more solid and stronger. Instead of weakening it, they have strengthened it. The Party and its leadership is not intimidated and weakened by attacks. Instead it waxes and gain strength.

We don`t fear lies or we don`t kneel to pressure, condition or impositions, from whichever direction. We shall defend ourselves with the truth, which always, soon rather than late, ends up being known.

WE SET OUR OWN RED LINES

On this 94th Anniversary of the Party , as Young Reds we want to send a clear message to the people of our country that we have nothing to do with EFF , We are not the same. They are using our red color, but we are not the same. They claim to be a Marxist-Leninist organization, we are not the same. They place slogans and banner under a false flag, we don`t place our slogan and banner under a false flag.

Their Commander in Thief is in and out of court on corruption allegation, we are not the same. Their interests and goals are not for the workers and the poor, they are for self-enrichment and championing imperialist`s agenda and ours is a struggle for socialism for the workers and the poor. We do not have the same interests and the same goals. Ours is a struggle for socialism and theirs is a struggle for anarchy.

We are the only vanguard of the South African working class not through by declarations but through our deeds and they are the only vanguard of the anarchy in our country. Therefore we set our own red lines to these anarchists.

CREDENTIALS

We don`t owe anyone explanation about the struggle credentials of our General Secretary. I wonder comrades, whether before asking our General Secretary where he was during the struggle,if they have ever asked where Dali Mpofu was in the struggle when our leaders were jailed in Robben Island and other prisoners because of their struggle against apartheid.

I wonder whether he has asked Hlengiwe Hlophe credentials after 1994 and her role as councilor in KZN, selling houses to the poor and depriving them of their right to settlement, and want to become a working class hero today after such self-enrichment.

I wonder whether fat Floyd has ever asked his commander in thief if he thought about the struggle credentials of many of the cadres, some of whom who died, before he fed himself like a pig on the tax payers of the people of Limpopo , spitting on the graves of the fallen communist heroes who liberated our people.

The less said about Floyd`s credentials the better , including leading the YCLSA and ANCYL without being a member , crushing University car after a night of drunkenness at Wits when he was SRC President, and writing long thesis about his working class background to justify his recklessness.

Your not knowing Nzimande`s role in the struggle said a lot about you, but even worse , your credentials posts 1994 are stinking and rotten that you are ashamed to speak about them and instead deflecting by questioning the credentials about others.

Cde Blade Nzimande was here against Botha, Malan and De Klerk, and is here against your lumpen leadership and project. Cde Blade Nzimande will be there tomorrow when we declare South Africa a Socialist Republic.

IF INDEED EVERYTHING FOR THE REVOLUTION

Who can say no, when the Party is growing.
Who can say no, when YCLSA is growing.
Who can say no, when the Party is united.
Who can say no, when the Party is in Alliance.
Who can say no, when the party is the vanguard of the working class.
Who can say no, when people want socialism.

As we celebrate this 94th Anniversary of the SACP, we congratulate the Party for continuing to produce cadres capable of carrying out effective ideological work that cannot be a dialogue or a mechanical repetition of slogans. We congratulate the Party for continuing to produce cadres who reason with sound arguments, without considering themselves the absolute owners of the truth, who know how to listen even if they don`t like what some people say. We congratulate the Party for continuing to produce cadres who are capable of examining other people`s views with an open mind, which does not exclude the need to energetically refute with sound arguments those views considered unacceptable.

We congratulate the Party for its growing membership and for deploying its best cadres to the State.

On behalf of the 4th National Congress National Committee, the rank and file membership of the Young Communist League of South Africa, I want to say Happy Anniversary SACP andforward to Socialism.

Long Live SACP Long Live.

Amandla!
