Message to the South African Communist Party
Dear Comrades,
We convey profound greetings of solidarity on the occasion of the anniversary of the South African Communist Party.
The SACP has been at the forefront of the struggle for liberation and justice in South Africa, convinced that a future of socialism is the answer to end exploitation, injustice and inequalities, not only in South Africa, but throughout the continent and in the Third World.
We recognize the historical role played by the SACP in educating, mobilizing, guiding and leading the difficult struggle and the impressive mass movement that, spearheaded by the ANC, forced an end to racial oppression in this country and set the stage for the national democratic revolution.
The SACP has also been a stalwart protagonist of the relationship between Cuba and South Africa, of the profound links enjoyed by our nations and of the sentiments of friendship and revolutionary commitment that we embrace today.
The peoples and the revolutionary movements of both our nations have joined efforts and sacrifices in the struggle for a better world, and in the sacred duty of fighting imperialism, convinced that only united and with a spirit of solidarity will we be able to overcome the most difficult of challenges.
Long live the South African Communist Party!
