We will feature our regular PANW reports with dispatches on the assassination of a prominent progressive Kurdish lawyer in Turkey who had recently declared that the PKK was not a terrorist organization; there has been another attack in the northern Malian city of Kidal killing three members of the United Nations peacekeeping force; a former minister in the Republic of Ghana has made serious criticisms of the present state of the national economy; and the Black Lives Matter anti-racist demonstrations have won the endorsement of the Minnesota Nurses Association as the movement tests its strength during the holiday shopping season in the United States.

In the second hour we look at the internal political dynamics of the tripartite alliance in the Republic of South Africa where a discussion took place over the relationship between the ruling African National Congress and the South African Communist Party.

Also we look at the future of the National Union of Metal Workers of South Africa (NUMSA) which is no longer seeking readmittance into the Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU).

Another report looks at some of the developments within the COSATU National Congress held earlier this month.
