This program features our regular PANW report with dispatches on the Zimbabwe government's response to a memorandum issued by the War Veterans Association which is critical of the rulng ZANU-PF Party; the South African prosecutorial authority is appealing the sentence given to athelete Oscar Pistorius involving the murder of his girlfriend; there is further commentary about the attack on the former Olympic Village in Munich, Germany on July 22 amid a rash of similar actions across Europe; and there has been a bomb attack on a demonstration in the Afghanistan capital of Kabul earlier today.

In the second hour we continue our examination of the history of the contributions of Ida B. Wells-Barnett to the struggle against racist violence during the late 19th and early 20th century.
