US President Donald Trump has ordered a military strike against Syria.
The US along with Britain and France launched the assault against Syria on Friday, with multiple places being targeted using tomahawk cruise missiles.
UK Prime Minister Theresa May also said she authorized the British armed forces to conduct coordinated and targeted strikes, noting, "I have done so because I judge this action to be in Britain’s national interest."
The US has been threatening Damascus with military action since April 7, when a suspected chemical attack on the Syrian town of Douma, Eastern Ghouta, reportedly killed 60 people and injured hundreds more. The Syrian government has already strongly denied using chemical munitions in the flashpoint town.
