WIDF Meetings Close
The meeting of the Secretariat and the meeting of the Directive Committee of the Women's International Democratic Federation (WIDF) closed on April 23.

Present at the meetings of the Federation held in Pyongyang from April 19 to 23 were Chairwoman Lorena Pena of the WIDF, members of the leadership of the Federation, women's delegations and delegates of various countries and officials of the Central Committee of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea.

The meetings reviewed the work done by the federation over the last one year to strengthen friendship and solidarity among the world women's organizations and oppose social inequalities of women and defend their rights under the uplifted banner of peace and independence against imperialism and discussed its future action program.

A letter to Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting of the Directive Committee of the WIDF.

The Directive Committee decided to confer the title of an outstanding anti-imperialist revolutionary fighter, a hope of the struggle of world women, on the anti-Japanese war heroine Kim Jong Suk for her enormous contribution to the strengthening and development of the Korean women's movement.
