DETROIT--Abayomi Azikiwe, the editor of the Pan-African News Wire will speak in a live interview over TV 33 and 88.1 FM in Highland Park on Tuesday morning between 7:00-8:00 am.
Azikiwe will be the guest of Richard Hairston, the morning talk show host on TV 33, an African-American owned television and radio network in Highland Park, Michigan, a sub-division of Detroit.
Hairston will discuss various news events and political developments with the PANW editor such as the ongoing occupation of Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia and Haiti; the upcoming Jena 6 sentencing in Louisiana on September 20 and the mass meeting planned by MECAWI in support of the Jena 6 on September 19; the continuing saga of the victims of the post-Katrina disaster in the Gulf region; the current state persecution of Judge Deborah Thomas of Wayne County Circuit Court along with other jurists; and the necessity for independent organization to effectively challenge the military/prison industrial complex in the United States.
