Woman Author Releases Second Book on Breaking the Cycle of Abuse

Author Latifah Hameen has released her second book on overcoming the cycle of abuse.

Black Author, Poet and Educator Releases Her Second Book, A Sequel to Her First, "Suffering in Silence: Breaking the Cycle of Abuse," on How She Has Broken the Cycle of Abuse and is Rebuilding Her Life

Irving, TX (BlackNews.com) - Latifah Hameen has published her second book. In her first book, she discussed her abusive relationships for 20 years. Featured in the second book are explanations of her role in the recurring cycles of abuse in her past relationships.

She explains the recurring cycles as being similar to pulling up weeds without extracting them from the root, which was the cause of the problem, so they kept growing back. It wasn't until she finally reached deep within and pulled the root of the problem out once and for all, that she was able to be renewed with a much brighter view. She also demonstrates how she is rebuilding her life.

Ms. Hameen has started an agency, Healthy Positive Choices (HPC). It is used as a preventive tool in educating teens and young adults on the growing problem of teen relationship abuse.

HPC provides workshops, lectures and seminars to help teens become aware of the signs of relationship abuse. This knowledge empowers and helps them to understand that abuse is not love, but destructive to the total being. Her passion is to educate and help prevent abuse in any form. This is her contribution toward an effort to a better society.

Ms. Hameen is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She obtained her Associates of Arts Degree at Milwaukee Area Technical College, Bachelors of Science Degree at University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee and Masters of Arts Degree at Amber University in Garland, Texas.

She is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) and Licensed Massage Therapist Instructor (LMTI). She has been an educator for 18 years. She is an entrepreneur and currently resides in Irving, Texas.
