The United Nations Security Council has passed a unanimous resolution to eliminate chemical weapons in Syria. The resolution could set the stage for broader talks aimed at reaching a political solutions on the war on Syria, where the United States, NATO and their allies have carried out a policy of regime-change in the Middle Eastern state.

Republic of Zimbabwe Vice-President Joice Mujuru has laid down conditions for ministers and governmental officials in the current term of governing by the Zimbabwe African National Union Patriotic Front Party (ZANU-PF). The ZANU-PF party won a landslide victory over the western-backed opposition forces which seek to return the country to the colonial and neo-colonial powers.

In a statement by the Clement Payne Movement in the Caribbean-island nation of Barbados, the notion of "American Exceptionalism" was totally refuted and rejected. Barack Obama, the U.S. president, has been promoting the idea that the U.S. has the responsibility for maintaining its dominance throughout the world.

And finally, the president of Bolivia Evo Morales delivered a speech at the United Nations General Assembly that was highly critical of the role of the U.S. around the world. Evo Morales has been a direct victim of imperialism with the forced landing of his plane earlier this year in Europe after a trip to Russia.
