US Seeks to Divide Iraq and Syria, But This Will Not Happen, Khamenei Affirms

Tehran, SANA- Supreme Leader of the Iranian Islamic Revolution Ali Khamenei stressed that the US seeks to impose its hegemony on the region and to divide it according to its schemes, but this will not happen.
“The Americans are trying to impose their control on the region and to implement their agendas, but we will not allow that, and they are seeking to divide Iraq and Syria, but this will not happen,” Khamenei said while receiving participants in the Meeting of the Islamic Radios and TVs Union in presence of Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi and the accompanying delegation and Syria’s Ambassador in Tehran Adnan Mahmoud.
He reiterated that the Iranian people will not allow the US political, economic and cultural incursion into Iran and they will strongly face it.
“According to their illusions, the Americans imagined that they will find a way through the nuclear agreement between Iran and the P5+1 Group whose destiny hasn’t been known till now to achieve that incursion into the country “Iran”, but we closed that road and we will firmly close it,” Khamenei said.
