In this program we feature our regular PANW reports with dispatches on the international talks in Vienna on resolving the imperialist war against the people of Syria as the United States announced its public intervention inside this embattled Middle Eastern state; a prisoner held for thirteen years who is a citizen of Britain was released this week by the US from its concentration camp in occupied Guantanamo Bay in Cuba; the newly-elected president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, admitted in a candid interview with a leading newspaper that the country designated as having the largest economy in Africa is broke; and the struggle for Palestine liberation continues as unrest mounts in the West Bank region of the country.

In the second hour we present the Oct. 27 edition of Community Public Radio (CPR) news highlighting Abayomi Azikiwe speaking on a widely published article written on the significance of the militarization of the police inside the US.

In the second and third hours we further and deepen our examination of developments in South Africa looking at the national economic crisis as well as hearing the views of student leaders amid the resumption of classes at higher education institutions across the country.
