Syria Condemns Deadly Terrorist Attacks in Tehran

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Syria’s Foreign Ministry strongly condemned today’s terrorist attacks in the Iranian parliament and the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic, which led to the deaths of several people.
The Syrian ministry in a statement condemned the attacks and expressed solidarity with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the “brother” nation of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The statement also offered condolences to the Iranian people and the bereaved families of victims of the attacks.
The terrorist attacks, behind which there are certain countries and organizations, cannot dissuade Iran and Syria from fighting terrorism, it added.
The Wednesday terrorist attack on the Iranian Parliament and the police siege of the building finished in the afternoon. All four gunmen have been killed in the exchange of gunfire.
In another attack on the same day, a group of terrorists opened fire at several people in the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic, south of Tehran.
According to officials, 12 people have been martyred and 42 others were wounded in the two incidents.
