Sudan and Niger Agree on Cooperation in Oil Industry

Khartoum - Sudan and Niger’s delegation led by the Oil Minister have agreed to activate cooperation between the two countries, with Niger expressing keenness to benefit from Sudan’s oil industry experience, particularly the training of Niger cadres involved in oil activities.
Meanwhile, the Sudanese Petroleum Minister called on his Niger counterpart to activate the joint cooperation between the two countries, assuring that Sudan’s door will be wide open for Niger to benefit from its experiences in the oil sector. The Minister invited the delegation to visit some oil facilities to see for themselves the progress of the oil industry in Sudan. He conveyed to the delegation the interest of some Sudanese companies involved in oil by-products industry to transport Niger’s surplus gas to Darfur.
On the other hand, the State Minister at the Sudanese Ministry of Petroleum discussed with the delegation the partnership between the Niger oil ministry and the Sudanese Petroline Company to establish Petroservice Company which will be assigned the construction of oil depots and pipelines in Niger.
