According to Russia’s Defense Ministry, the US, France and Britain launched over 100 air-to-surface cruise missiles

MOSCOW, April 14. /TASS/. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu is promptly briefing Russia’s President Vladimir Putin on the situation in Syria in the wake of a US missile strike, Rossiya-24 TV Channel reported on Saturday, referring to the ministry.

"Russian Defense Minister Army General Sergei Shoigu is providing updated information on Syria to Russia’s President Vladimir Putin," the TV Channel quoted the ministry’s statement as saying.

The missile strike against Syria’s military and civilian infrastructures was carried out by US planes and naval ships in cooperation with British and French air forces between 03:42 and 05:10 Moscow time on Saturday.

The United States, Britain and France said the strikes were in response to an alleged chemical weapons attack in Syria’s Douma.

According to Russia’s Defense Ministry, the US, France and Britain launched over 100 air-to-surface cruise missiles (compared to 59 missiles launched against Syria’s Shayrat airfield last year), most of which were shot down by the Syrian air defenses.

According to some sources, ten or so targets were attacked. The Syrian news agency SANA does not confirm this.
