Pan-African Journal Special Broadcast to Focus on Developments at Home and Abroad
A special Pan-African Journal radio broadcast will be aired today on January 8 from 1:00-3:00pm. The program will consist of reports from the Pan-African News Wire on various topics including the anti-war and social justice legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.(1929-1968), whose birthday will be commemorated on Monday, January 16, the federally designated holiday in his honor in the United States.
Other topics will include the public events surrounding the 100th anniversary of the African National Congress (ANC) in South Africa, the outcome of the Egyptian parliamentary elections, the ongoing regional and sectarian violence in Nigeria and an update on developments in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) in the aftermath of the death of Kim Jong-Il.
