Zimbabwe's delegation to the United Nations General Assembly has complained of harassment by the United States government.
The proceedings were held in New York City and are supposed to be open and transparent for all member-states.
A host of Latin American states have expressed solidarity with the government and people of the Middle Eastern nation of Syria.
Syria has been subjected to a two year war of regime-change led and coordinated by U.S. imperialism.
Demonstrations have continued in the Central African state of Sudan where unrest has spread in response to the withdrawal of fuel subsidies by the government. Some of the demonstrators have called for the removal of President Omar Hassan al-Bashir during the same time that the U.S. has escalated pressure against the country.
Finally, it has been revealed that intelligence agencies based in the U.S. are engaging in data mining to track personal behavior. The National Security Agency (NSA) has come under intense public scrutiny over its spying activity in the U.S. and indeed around the world.
