Kim Yong Nam Meets Zimbabwean President and Cuban Vice-President of Council of Ministers
Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, on August 5 had a talk with Robert G. Mugabe, president of the Republic of Zimbabwe, who took part in the Iranian presidential inauguration.

The Zimbabwean President said his government and people will always remember the selfless aid sent by President Kim Il Sung.

He said Zimbabwe has invariably protected its sovereignty in defiance of sanctions of the West for several decades since its independence as it has learned from the example of the DPRK.

He highly appreciated that under the wise guidance of H.E. Kim Jong Un the DPRK has turned into a military power with the powerful deterrence capable of defeating the US trying to dominate the world.

Kim Yong Nam also had a talk with Ulises Rosales Del Toro, vice-president of the Council of Ministers of Cuba, who paid a courtesy call on him on the same day.

The vice-president expressed the belief that the Korean people would successfully advance the revolutionary cause started and developed by President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il under the tested guidance of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

Noting that Cuba is resolutely opposing the US sanctions and pressure against the DPRK, he expressed full support to the just steps of the DPRK for bolstering up defence capabilities, including ICBM test-fires, and achieving prosperity of the country. He declared the will to boost the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries in the future, too, expressing his deep thanks to the Korean people who are sending invariable solidarity to the Cuban people's just cause.

Meanwhile, Kim Yong Nam, met the vice-prime minister of the DR Congo, the parliamentary speaker of Sri Lanka, the speaker of the National Assembly of Cameroon, the special envoy of the Namibian president and the president and the secretary general of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
