Abayomi Azikiwe, editor of the Pan-African News Wire, covered the demonstration in Washington, D.C. commemorating the 50th anniversary of the original march. There were over 200,000 people in attendance for the rally and march.

This broadcast features speeches and songs from the 1963 march held on August 28 of that year. The voices of Josephine Baker, Daisy Bates, Ossie Davis, A. Philip Randolph, Bayard Rustin, the SNCC Freedom Singers, John Lewis, Mahalia Jackson and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. are heard.

A television broadcast aired after the 1963 march is re-broadcast here where James Baldwin, Harry Belafonte, Marlon Brandon, Sidney Poitier and others are heard in a roundtable discussion on Civil Rights and race relations in that year.

Radio host Abayomi Azikiwe attended the event with a large delegation from the UAW and the Moratorium NOW! Coalition.
