Moscow Calls for Respecting Syria’s Sovereignty and Territorial Integrity

Moscow, SANA-Russian Foreign Ministry on Thursday called for respecting Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, affirming that any operation which is carried out on its territory without the acceptance of the Syrian government is unacceptable.
“It is unacceptable to seize Syrian territories under any pretext, including the pretext of combating terrorism,” Maria Zakharova, spokesperson of the Russian foreign Ministry said at a press conference.
Zakharova expressed her country’s support to achieve stability and long-term security in al-Jazeera region, and to hold constructive dialogue among the Syrians, including the Syrian Kurds, according to RT.
She added that the international legitimacy requires the Syrian state’s approval on any operations being carried out on its territory, in reference to the US-Turkish plots to establish the so-called “buffer Zone.”
Syria has categorically rejected an agreement which were announced by the US and Turkish occupation about establishing so-called “buffer zone” in Syria
