Abayomi Azikiwe, editor of the Pan-African News Wire, visited the city of Philadelphia on Feb. 25 where spoke to an audience at the Calvary Church on the role of the United States imperialism in Africa. The lecture was sponsored by the International Action Center in Philadelphia.

The lecture was part of a series of programs honoring African American History Month 2014. Azikiwe visited as part of the tour the cities of New York, Boston, Baltimore and Philadelphia.

On the morning of Feb. 25 Azikiwe spoke with Bernard White the host of Emanations, a daily worldwide radio broadcast over CPRMetro.org based in New York City. The Pan-African News Wire can be heard during the second hour of the program.

Azikiwe spoke on the escalating repression inside the U.S. and the role of the corporate institutions and banks in the worsening poverty and exploitation of the people.

CPRMetro.org is an independent internet radio station which broadcasts twenty-hours a day. The institution is within its third year.

Azikiwe hosts a program entitled the Pan-African Journal over CPRMetro.org. The program has aired since January 2013.
