US Smear Campaign Slammed
“Trump must ponder over the catastrophic consequences to be entailed by the anti-DPRK smear campaign and bear in mind that they will totally be to blame for all unsavoury events to be caused by the wagging of his tongue,” said a spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry on September 28.
The statement came as the Trump clique is using in their anti-DPRK smear campaign the issue of Otto Frederick Warmbier, an American student who had died after returning home in the midst of doing penal servitude in the DPRK for a crime against it.
Reportedly, Trump claimed that Warmbier had been “subjected to unbelievable torture” and “north Korea had kidnapped, tortured and deliberately hurt him”, while the US Department of State asserted it is ready to re-designate north Korea as terror sponsor in connection with the issue.
Denouncing the American policymakers for using even the dead person in an anti-DPRK scheme, the spokesman asserted the current US administration is viciously finding fault with the DPRK again over Warmbier’s death not because it is concerned about the much-hyped “security of American citizens”, and described the slander as a puerile and nasty anti-DPRK frame-up Trump concocted to save face from the DPRK’s tough stance toward his reckless remarks.
What cannot be overlooked is that the American riffraff dared to hurt the supreme dignity of the DPRK, he said, adding the reality teaches again that leniency or consideration of humanitarianism for the citizens of the US, the arch enemy of the DPRK, is a taboo.
The DPRK will closely watch the future US moves, he noted.
