Pak Pong Ju Inspects Industrial Establishments
Premier Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, made a field survey of the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex and the East Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant.
Going round various parts of the complex, he encouraged workers there in a vigorous drive to put production on a normal footing.
A field consultative meeting was held to discuss the issue of further perfecting the Juche iron and steel-making technology and drastically increasing iron production. It underscored the need for relevant units to satisfactorily supply raw and other materials for normal production.
At the power plant, the Premier called for stepping up scientific researches into increasing electricity production and for keeping production going through meticulous equipment and technical management.
