DPRK Leader Try-out Given to New Model of Trolley Bus
A trial run of a new model of trolley bus was made in the presence of Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Chairman of the DPRK State Affairs Commission and Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army, and Ri Sol Ju.
He was accompanied by vice-chairman O Su Yong and deputy department director Jo Yong Won of the WPK Central Committee.
Busy as he was with a tight schedule, the Supreme Leader found time to go round the capital city by the new trolley bus late at night, saying he could feel relieved only after riding in the bus which he had inspected during his recent on-site guidance over the updated Pyongyang Trolley Bus Factory.
He praised its technical conditions, saying the trolley bus is comfortable and reliable, its shock absorber is good, it has no vibration and noise and its speed is all right. He noted he is the happiest and most satisfied when he sees the product of our strength of self-reliance.
As he usually says, he noted, they should not confine themselves to producing new things but steadily refine them technically and further perfect their production processes so as to improve them on a constant basis. Saying he would send them necessary technical data, he told the factory officials to upgrade the technical specifications of the trolley bus and mass-produce it in order to put passenger service in Pyongyang on normal track.
He earnestly said that the capital’s passenger service sector should make proactive efforts to satisfactorily facilitate public transport, especially in cold winter days, keeping the revolutionary mass viewpoint and spirit of devoted service to the people with which to always regard their demand and appreciation as the absolute standard and strictly obey them.
