The opening rally is held at Central United Methodist Church located at Woodward Avenue and East Adams beginning at Noon. Later at 1:30pm the march begins through downtown focusing on the struggle to halt foreclosures and evictions; mass incarceration of African American people; against massive water shut-offs and the negative role of the banks in ethnic cleansing along with tax captures.

This day of events concludes at St. John's Episcopal Church on Woodward at I-75 with a cultural program and community meal.
